Should He Die, On a Maybe?

If you feel like Troy Davis was wrongly convicted based on your knowledge of the case or what you're about to read here, please call the Georgia clemency board at 912-652-7308 or fax them at 912-652-7328 and ask that the death warrant for Troy Davis be REPEALED.

The quote above are the words from the sister of a possibly innocent man that is sentenced to die tomorrow by lethal injection for the slaying of a Savannah, Georgia officer in 1989.  Troy Davis was accused of shooting Mark MacPhail in the face and heart in a local parking lot.  However, no physical evidence was found: no weapon, no DNA, no finger prints, nothing and Davis says he left the scene before the shooting even occured.  According to CNN, since his conviction in 1991, 7 of 9 witnesses recanted or changed their stories.   Others say it was really another man who committed the murder, Sylvester "Redd" Coles, who testified against Davis.  Despite these changes, loads of uncertainty, and Davis' international support from Pope Benedict XVI, Desmond Tutu, former President Jimmy Carter, NAACP, Harry Belafonte, and more, Davis has been denied clemency.

This story breaks my heart.  I know Davis was supposed to die three times before, but if you keep putting off the death date and all you're finding are new testimonies in Davis' favor instead of proof that he actually killed someone, why are you still trying to kill him?  To me, it's ridiculous that true criminals are roaming around freely and this man has about 24 hours to live.  Casey Anthony is alive, which is BEYOND me... Yes, there was "reasonable doubt" for Casey Anthony, but is Troy Davis' situation not a "reasonable doubt" case? Amy Fischer, who shot her lover's wife trying to kill her off is free.  Actually she is considered a CELEBRITY, and is on Celebrity Rehab, pure insanity.  The list goes on. It's funny how all of these criminals I've listed and the murders and felons shown on E Specials are alive, well, and making money off of their crimes.  Is it because the slain victim, may he rest in peace, was part of Law Enforcement?  We all saw the movie Crash and how the force "sticks together".  If you haven't, you need to go watch that movie.  I hate to ask this question because I hate living in the mentality of "black is victim", but... Is it because he's black?  I just want to know.  This song entitled "I Am Troy Davis" makes me ponder, the artist gives sound bites of Davis' testimonies, supporters, and gives clips of information from the case... 

Is it because of the victim's mother and her need for "closure".  I know she is grieving and I can't even imagine losing a child, but how can killing another woman's child without concrete proof give you closure? Unresolved issues and unanswered questions will sadly still exist whether Davis dies or not because, THERE IS NO PROOF.

Maybe Baby?

Blogs and radio gossip segments have been going crazy over this one!  Chris Brown and girlfriend Karrauche are said to be expecting.  According to Media Takeout, one of Karrauche's friends told MTO she is two months pregnant.  As told by this "reliable source", "Karrauche  and Chris  have been trying to get pregnant for a while, so they're happy to be pregnant."

Hmm.... On September 17,  the same day MTO posted the "news", Karrauche tweeted:

I don't know about you guys, but until I get a direct quote from THE couple, I'm not believing it.  I got my hopes high countless times for Beyonce and Jayz, and they all crashed, plummeted to a bottomless pit until she announced it HERSELF on the VMA's.  YAY Beyonce and Jay-Z!

Back to what I was saying... If this is true, CONGRATS TO THE LUCKY COUPLE!  I'm sure the baby will be beautiful and healthy! If not, Media Takeout will have a lot of explaining to do.

Scarlett's "Letter"

What a way to completey alter classic literature! The world has come across Scarlett's "Letter" aka nude body!  A MAJOR stretch I know... Just when we all thought the era of nude photo leakage was over, it rears its ugly head again. The latest victim? SCARLET JOHANSSON! I know, I never thought I'd see the day she was in the nudey rudey either. Naked cell phone pictures have officialy surfaced.  Now, whether they're authentic or fabricated is still up in the air.  However, sources close to the actress have told TMZ the starlet is dealing with the FBI about the situation. YIKES!

According to the Huffington Post, this scandal began back in March when TMZ reported there were  a group of hackers who stole sensitive photos of about 50 A-list actresses by breaking into their email accounts. Allegedly, Scar Jo was part of the list and thanks to today's leakage, it appears she may have very well been one of the 50. If not, maybe this whole shebang is a publicity stunt? I pray this promiscuous act isn't a cheap way to get people amped up for her current project "The Avengers". That kind of stunt is soo gauche and she is way to classy for that! Regardless, I still love Scarlett!  From Home Alone 3 to "for-your-eyes-only" personal photoshoots, she is still my girl!
