One Less Single Lady

It's official, Stacey Dash WILL NOT be returning to Single Ladies.  Honestly, I may cry. I LOVE her character, Val!  She was so optimistic, fashionable, and fun to watch!  Who's going to be Keisha's roommate?  Who's going to be all cute and romantic?  Who's going to be the one that everything she wants in life? What's going to happen with the Jerry-Quan-Val  love triangle drama?!  I'm so upset, words can't even describe!


Apparently she released this statement exclusively to Global Grind:
"I truly enjoyed playing Val on 'Single Ladies', but I have decided to leave the show. I have to be back in L.A. with my children right now and the 'Single Ladies' shooting location makes that impossible. I wish VH1 the best of luck with the show and in maintaining the strong fan base we developed in season one."


VH1 also released a statement saying: 
"VH1 respects Stacey’s decision and her commitment to what she feels is best for her family. We thank her for all of her hard work in making ‘Single Ladies’ a success right out of the gate, and we wish her nothing but the best in her future plans."


Sigh.... Will I stay a loyal Single Ladies fan?  Will the show last?  I'm super sad right now to say the least.

Bey, HOV, and Baby!

The VMAs just started and already I'm over it! The only thing that matters is that BEYONCE IS PREGNANT!! I can't even concentrate on this award show! I'm so excited Beyonce & hubby Jay-Z are expecting!  Future Auntie, Solange tweeted this:

I'll take that as a confirmation!.  If you all remember, in many interviews Beyonce said she wanted to start a family at 30.  Well, she's right on time because her birthday is next week, September 4! Exciting!  She also said she was going to retire at 30.  I really hope she takes that back, the world isn't ready for her to retire!  We love Beyonce!  Anyways, congrats to the beautiful couple! We are all ecstatic for you, Jay, your family and your beautiful little bun in the oven!

Collide.

Leona Lewis is at it again with her strong and beautiful voice. "Collide" is an upbeat, romantic song by Leona and Avicii, who is known for his electro house sound.  Clearly, the video is an illustration of young love, and I LOVE IT! This is by far the best portrayal of young love I've seen in a while.  Everyone is all smiles and all for fun.  Nothing sexual and revealing, just a nice happy time at the beach with love and friends.  The one thing I noticed that kind of makes me raise an eyebrow is that it seems she switched loves...   At the start of the video she was fond of a muscular guy with smooth, chocolate skin.  The second one was pretty, with dark features which served as a nice contrast against his creamy, light skin.  Or maybe I'm just reading too much into it?  Take a look at her new video "Collide" and see for yourself:

Steve Jobs Steps Down

"I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple's CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come," -Steve Jobs


Sadly, Steve Jobs has resigned as CEO of Apple.  According to Money.cnn.com, Jobs alluded to his health issues in his letter of resignation.  As most of you know, he's been on medical leave since January. Former Chief Operating Officer Tim Cook has been fulfilling Chief Executive duties during Jobs' absence all along.  Now, he will be fulfilling them permanently as the new CEO of Apple.  Don't worry folks, Jobs isn't giving up Apple completely just yet.  He will serve as Apple's chairman.

A Fashionably Classy Union

I must admit, I'm a little perturbed the anticipation of Kim Kardashian's "Fairytale Wedding" overshadowed Michael Kors' wedding! Sir Michael and long time partner Lance LaPere recieved a marriage license in New York August 4, and tied the knot on Dune Beach in Southampton the 16th!  It was private and simple, which is so classy in my opinion! Bye Bye Bonnie, Hello Baby!

After announcing her pregnancy, Hillary Duff loses the lead role in "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde".  Number one, YAY FOR BABY NUMBER ONE! Number two, boo for being losing her spot!  I was excited to see the dark side of the former Lizzie McGuire actress! According to ENews producers say they were informed Hills wouldn't be available to shoot until June of next year, post-baby.  Because of "obligations with investors", the crew has to stick to their schedule, get the ball rolling and start shooting later this year.  Producers aren't only looking for someone to fill Hills' spot as Bonnie, they are looking for a new Clyde too!  Gossip Girls' Kevin Zegers is being replaced due to a scheduling conflict.

Will the replacements be better than the originals casted? Or will it be a waste of time? I don't know about you, but I'm stoked to see who will take these spots!  What I'm even more excited about? HILLS IS HAVING A BABY!
